A Day To Stop And Smell The Coffee
National Coffee Day 2018 celebrates America’s favorite beverage.
Ahhh, Saturday morning — always a good time to put some extra love into my coffee ritual, to linger longer over my latte, and maybe even have a second cup. But this Saturday, September 29, is National Coffee Day, and here at JavaUp we’re busy celebrating America’s favorite beverage in a big way.
Family, friends, fun and fall is fueled by our love for coffee.
As fall color unfolds in the Berkshires, our JavaUp Van is hitting the roads across Western Massachusetts, making friends and fans with samples of JavaUp bars. College students, who literally run on coffee, are among our biggest fans, and we’ll be sampling them at various academic institutions in the area — Bard, MCLA and Williams.
Our test kitchen is humming with ideas for new coffee snacks. At JavaUp we’re literally re-thinking coffee — not simply as an ingredient, but as a wholesome, antioxidant food that delivers incredible taste and lifts up your day. We can’t reveal them yet .. but soon. Stay tuned.
I’m also thrilled to tell you that we’re hard at work on Made In The Shade, a fresh new podcast about all things coffee, with special love for the shade grown coffees we source for all of our JavaUp products. On Made in the Shade, you’ll meet the growers, the roasters, the chefs and barristas who are driving coffee innovation. You’ll also meet amazing environmental heroes who advocate for sustainable agriculture around the world, right in step with our values. Stay tuned for the launch of the podcast and send us your ideas for topics you want to explore.
Many coffee shops and coffee chains around the country are offering promotions and discounts for National Coffee Day. Stop into our beloved Six Depot Roastery, in West Stockbridge, MA, and say JavaUp sent you. They are the exclusive source of coffee beans for all our products. They’ll give you a free bar when you stop in on Saturday and I, too, will be there with our new Java Van. It’s one of the tastiest spots in all of Berkshire County with great food and people who are passionate about quality coffee.
Wherever you are, whatever you’ve got planned for Saturday, I hope you’ll take a break from your daily grind and stop and smell the coffee. There’s nothing like it!
